What's Right About This Room
New England Manor Kitchen
Warm, interesting and dynamic may all be used to describe this New England Manor style kitchen. A variety of materials and finishes are set against warm pine flooring. Kitchen design is now incorporating multiple colors on cabinetry. These elements work together to create a most engaging space... perfect for creating a simple snack or the most gourmet feast.
Wall color
To provide drama at its best, the walls have been painted a rich burgundy tone of Devoe – ‘Classic Burgundy’ [#D0403]. This color adds an appetizing component that is a perfect backdrop for all the activity taking place in this space.
Cabinets on Back Wall
Devoe ‘Plateau Grey’ [#D0432] has been used for the cabinetry on the back wall. This neutral tone keeps the cabinets against this wall area a deeper tone. They tend to blend into the wall area with minimal contrast. Notice how well they host the stainless steel components.
Decorative Hood
The decorative hood with wood detailing features Devoe’s ‘Lexington Park’ [#D0502]. Using a color with a pale character provides an air of lightness... this massive decorative feature effortlessly floats above the countertop
cooking area.
Green Cabinetry
For another touch of color Devoe’s ‘Holiday Bough’ [#D0390] has been used on the lower cabinets of the cooking area. This serves to add color... the depth of the green gives weight to this surface and balances out the burgundy
used on the wall areas.
Neutral Cabinets & Deep Granite
Another way to add interest is to add another color to the massive cabinet areas. The bank of cabinets that comprise the island uses a repeat of Devoe’s ‘Lexington Park’ [#D502] which serves to lighten the space and add a great contrast to the dark granite of the counter tops.
